RESIDENTIAL BLOCKS CITY LIFE Milan

COMPETITION

The project is inspired by Luigi Moretti corso Italia complex, built in Milan in 1953 as an advanced residential and office urban experiment. The project is permeable landscape, that it is done through defining and integrating the vegetation in all the common areas 12000 square meters of “hanging gardens” crossed by pedestrian walkways define a single green area characterized by patches of color. From a distributional point of view the interior spaces to homes communicate freely ensuring a feeling of wide-ranging. The lobbies are visible from the outside, overlooking the water, attractive and bright. The design choices are addressed with respect to the relationship between the benefits and costs of global construction, maintenance and management.
