Melfi’s Campus Manufacturing is a linear functions system, characterized by a gigantic overshadowing panel, variously bended & directly supported by light structures based on a naturalistic idea. This makes the building a multifunctional structure, creating peculiar areas designed for office work and for testing. The porch sees a coherent integration of the major principles of support in architecture, creating shadows to protect the transparent facades and cooperating with the natural cooling through ventilation systems in the covering. The project is located in a central area of Melfi’s establishment and becomes the focus of the amphitheatre.
