OFFICE BUILDING FERRARI Maranello

PROJECT

General project and contractor: Maire Tecnimont S.p.A.

The aim of this project is the creation of a technical centre on an un-built green area belonging to the Ferrari industrial site and not far from its future core. The features of this functional pavilion include lightness and the adjustable transparent façades. The large partially-glazed box gathers all functions into one group. Thus, office and design rooms are easily related to each other through a multi-storey main entrance and through a central gallery which is crossed by internal footbridges. As far as landscaping is concerned, the building is partially sunken into the surrounding lawn, giving natural illumination to the ground floor, while the entrance level is at the first floor and connected by outer bridges to the ground outside. The eastern and western sides are protected from direct light by a large movable sunscreen system made up of tall vertical aluminium blades.
